About Us

About Us

Integrated Biotecture Design was founded from a desire to create healthy, sustainable buildings that connect and respond to their environment — allowing both people and place to flourish.

Through hands-on experience with natural materials, a foundation in permaculture principles, and a strong interest in building science, we believe holistic design is the most meaningful path to true sustainability. Our work brings together biophilic design, climate-responsive thinking and natural, low-carbon materials to create architecture that is both enduring and life-enhancing.

At the heart of our practice is the belief that successful design goes beyond function. A well-designed home should support wellbeing, reflect the individuality of its occupants and respond thoughtfully to its site and climate.

Every project begins with listening — understanding our clients’ needs, aspirations, values and budget — alongside careful analysis of the landscape, orientation, ecology and local character. From this foundation, we shape designs that balance performance, beauty and responsibility.

Our work is guided by a commitment to:

  • Healthy, low-tox living environments

  • Climate-responsive and bushfire-considered design

  • Natural materials chosen for performance and longevity

  • Long-term sustainability over short-term trends

  • Collaborative, client-focused processes

These principles shape every project we undertake. You can explore more about our design philosophy, natural materials expertise and recommended resources on our natural building insights page.
